Blockbuster Goes Blu-Ray

By Peter Sciretta/June 17, 2007 11:23 pm EST

Blockbuster has announced plans to expand it’s Blu-ray disc inventory to 1,700 corporate-owned Blockbuster stores by mid-July 2007. The newly selected stores will each start off with over 170 Blu-ray titles, and expand their offerings as more titles are released and interest grows. This is definitely more bad news for the HD-DVD camp. The company does offer both formats (Blu-Ray and HD-DVD) through it’s online rental division and in a select 250 stores.

Wait, does anyone even go to Blockbuster anymore? All my friends are using netflix or one of the movie download services.
