Cloverfield Monster Destroys San Francisco

Today Chalk graffiti was found all around San Francisco. The message reads “What is Cloverfield? 1-18-08”. Did Paramount hire viral marketers to spread the word about the upcoming monster movie all over the city sidewalks? Or is there some crazy JJ Abrams fan with chalk on the loose?
