The film’s plot involves the Decepticons are out to capture Sam due to information he “learned about the origins of the Transformers and their ancient history of Earth.” I’m guessing this all has something to do with the Pyramids in Egypt. Empire confirms that Egyptian hieroglyphics turn out to be depictions of Transformers who visited Earth long ago.
Humanity is still trying to figure out which Transformers can be trusted and are there to exterminate humans. “The US military and an international coalition has united with the good-guy Autobots.”
In the scene above, soldiers penetrate “a hidden bunker” wondering “What is that glowing blue thing?”
Th article confirms that Decepticon Soundwave is the “fearsome communications expert” and that Devastator’s “arms and legs are built out of other Transformers.”
“Among the equipment the movie is using in this desert sequence alone: two A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthog” tank-killing jets; six F-16 Fighting Falcons; 10 armored Humvees; the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team; two Abrams tanks; two Bradley tanks; two missile-launcher vehicles; two armored personnel carriers; and a quarter-mile of the missile testing range, cleared of unexploded ordnance and built into an Egyptian town and temple.”
The Egyptian government gave Michael Bay “first-time access to the 5,000-year-old site” where they were “allowed to shoot on the pyramids — not just around them.” We see Agent Simmons (John Turturro) on one of the pyramids in the photo below.
The film’s budget is $200 million and the movie has around 40 robots.
Michael Bay claims that MEgatron does not return in the sequel and that the tank toy is just a toy. I’m not buying it.
