The marketing guys at Bad Robot have created a television commercial for the fictional Japanese frozen beverage Slusho! It’s everything you might expect, talking animals, weird imagery, a mermaid and a group of robots. It would be hilarious if Paramount started running this advertisement on tv, but I doubt that will happen....

Confessions Of A Superhero Movie Trailer By Peter Sciretta/Oct. 9, 2007 12:50 am EST Matt Ogens’ documentary Confessions of a Superhero premiered at SXSW 2007, and is scheduled to be released in theaters courtesy of Arts Alliance America and Red Envelope Entertainment starting November 2nd 2007. You might recognize these characters from the Jimmy Kimmel show. They are a group of people who make their money dressed as superheroes, taking photos with tourists outside the Manns Chinese Theater....

Confirmed: Simon Pegg And Nick Frost For Spielberg/Jackson’s Tintin By David Chen/Jan. 7, 2009 7:35 am EST The rumors were true: According to Beaks over at Aint It Cool News, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are confirmed to be playing bumbling detectives Thompson and Thomson. In the original story, the two were unrelated but were thought of as twins due to their uncannily similar appearance. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out on screen, as the film will be animated using motion capture technology....

She also confirmed that screenwriter James Vanderbilt has yet to turn in a final screenplay, but she insisted that Sony Pictures is very hopeful that they will be on track for 2011. Director Sam Raimi has yet to commit to the project, and told press earlier this month that he is “excited to read” the screenplay, and is “hoping it’s as great as our discussions were about it and hoping it feels right”....
