Justin Marks Writing New Children Of Men-Style Sci-Fi Film By David Chen/July 25, 2008 1:59 am EST Immediately following a Devil’s Due panel in which he discussed the Hack/Slash adaptation that’s coming to the big screen, I had the opportunity to speak briefly with Justin Marks, the writer behind Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and the recently well-reviewed and much anticipated Grayskull: Masters of the Universe script. New Warner Bros. DVDs Won’t Appear On Netflix For 28 Days After Release By Russ Fischer/Jan. 6, 2010 12:37 pm EST This is the same deal that Warner Bros. has with Redbox, and while the Redbox terms led to a lawsuit, Netflix has accepted the new structure in exchange for other terms favorable to the rental company. An inkling of this deal was first heard in August, and the LA Times reports that Netflix has agreed to the 28-day “sell-through” window in exchange for “improved financial terms, higher inventory levels and increased access to content for its online streaming service....

THR reported over the weekend (sorry, we were knee-deep in Comic Con) that David Cronenberg had signed to direct a film adaptation of the Don DeLillo novel Cosmopolis. The trade story lacks a few really key details, like the name of the screenwriter. Cronenberg often scripts his own material, or at least does a script pass on another screenwriter’s draft; I’m curious to know who’s writing this one....
