Saturday Box Office: 3:10 To Yuma w/$5.2M; Shoot ‘Em Up #6 By Steve Mason/Sept. 9, 2007 12:23 am EST James Mangold’s remake of the classic Western 3:10 TO YUMA rustled up another $5.23M on Saturday, and the well-reviewed genre pic will finish the weekend with a respectable $14.23M. That’s right in line with industry expectations, but Lionsgate was almost certainly hoping for an upside surprise. That number will give YUMA the 3rd-best opening weekend for a true Western in the past 20 years, trailing only 1990’s MAVERICK ($17....

Amore critic reviews start to roll in, the film’s rating has fallen hard. At the time of this report, 300 is now deemed Rotten at 59% with 17 reviews. As Friday nears, it will be interesting to see if the film will gain or lose critical respect....

Cool Stuff: Nintendo Wii Clerks Mod By Peter Sciretta/Dec. 29, 2007 12:08 am EST Ramon Stokes spent 60 hours creating this custom modified Clerks-themed Nintendo Wii. Stokes’ company Morphon Mods was commissioned by Smith’s friends “Ken, Zak and Joey” to create the Wii as a Christmas Gift for the Clerks filmmaker Kevin Smith. The Wii was painted using flat gray scale colors to match the black and white clerks characters. The stand features the main characters each back-lit with two “stage lights” that beam up to highlight the custom 3D Clerks logo....
