Clay Moore, the co-creator of Image’s excellent ongoing series Hawaiian Dick (yes, recommended). Also kicking ass is Oni Press, which has adaptations like Scott Pilgrim with Michael Cera, The Last Call and Moore’s own Hollywood spy spoof Leading Man, in the movie oven, and will publish Smoke next year....

Michel Gondry’s Apple Store Tour By Peter Sciretta/Jan. 4, 2008 4:48 pm EST Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry will be making appearances at Apple Stores in New York, San Francisco and Chicago, to help promote his new film Be Kind Rewind. Apple has been on a roll with their directors series as of late. Most recently I Am Legend director Francis Lawrence made an appearance, and before that, Wes Anderson and Natalie Portman made appearances to help promote The Darjeeling Limited and the prequel short film Hotel Chevalier (which not so coincidentally featured an iPod and was exclusively made available for free on Apple iTunes)....

My fear is quite rational. Thanks to all the whiteface on display, watching the trailer for off-the-wall western Big Money Rustlas, the second Insane Clown Posse movie, was quite a thrill ride for me. Nothing quite as heart-jabbing as the big Zombieland cubicle surprise (apparently, that made me scream and swear loudly in the cinema but I don’t even remember)....

The surcharge is a result of the additional cost of the next generation format, which sometimes is double that of DVD. The good news is that the surcharge is only $1, and allows you unlimited Blu-ray access under the same rules of your existing netflix account....

This time, the case was brought by two etiquette teachers and the film’s driving instructor, not the drunken frat boys who made inappropriate comments, or the Romanian villagers who believed they had been misled, each of whom also brought cases that ended unsuccessfully for the plaintiffs....

Rumor: Kevin Williamson Writing New Scream Trilogy? By Peter Sciretta/Feb. 24, 2009 2:39 am EST RopesOfSilicon received an anonymous email which contained a screenshot from the William Morris Agency Intranet (basically, the internal internet of Hollywood’s top talent agency). The screenshot shows a company email announcing that original Scream scribe Kevin Williamson has signed on to script a new trilogy of Scream films for The Weinstein Co. It should be noted that we’re not sure if this is real or fake, but we’ve heard rumblings for some time that The Weinstein Co wanted to make another Scream film....

SAW 4 Pulls An R-Rating, Final Theatrical Movie Poster By Peter Sciretta/Aug. 29, 2007 4:01 pm EST At Comic-Con in July, SAW IV producer Mark Burg announced that the MPAA had given the first cut of the film an NC-17 Rating. “One day we’d like to have the guts and leave it like it is” Well no guts this time around (apparently), because the MPAA have given a new cut of the film an R-Rating for sequences of grisly bloody violence and torture throughout, and for language....

Short Circuit Remake!? By Peter Sciretta/April 4, 2008 1:21 am EST Dimension Films has acquired the rights to remake the 1986 cult favorite Short Circuit. Yet again, Hollywood has run out of new ideas and has decided to remake an old one. I’m sure someone at The Weinstein Co probably noticed a poster for Pixar’s upcoming WALL-E, and after having the standard “that looks like Johnny Five from Short Circuit” discussion (everyone thinks they are oh so clever by making this observation… And by the way, if you look at the image below, you’ll quickly realize that WALL-E doesn’t look as much like Johnny Five as your memory might lead you to believe) he realized he stumbled on gold, ready to be re-mined....

Sony Accidentally Releases Armored On The Playstation Store For Free, A Sign Of Future Digital Options?
