Spec: Will Deathstroke Appear In The Dark Knight? By Hunter Stephenson/Feb. 21, 2008 7:37 pm EST Is this another scoop, and possibly large spoiler, for The Dark Knight originating from New York’s Toy Fair? It’s hard to say. A figurine for Deathstroke, a villainous mercenary, member of the Teen Titans (alongside Batgirl) and fan favorite, was recently spotted in a Mattel toy showcase for the Batman Begins sequel. Deathstroke’s figure wasn’t accidentally placed there, that’s for sure, and over at SHH, they’re told the character won’t appear in the film…but that the figurine still received “Christopher Nolan’s approval....

This has to be the weirdest DVD freebie promotion I’ve ever seen. How much of a crossover audience do you think there is between Clueless and Transformers? May-be the marketing team figures that a young party audience might buy this DVD and the inflatable beach ball will sneakily become free movie promotion at the next pool party?...

Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland Teaser Trailer By Peter Sciretta/July 22, 2009 10:59 am EST Looks like the teaser trailer for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland has dropped a tad bit early. Conan Director Rumors Continue, Doomsday’s Neil Marshall Now In Mix By Hunter Stephenson/Feb. 11, 2008 10:41 pm EST A few days ago Rob Zombie was said to be up for the skull-and-horn adorned director’s chair on the 2009 Lionsgate tent-pole Conan. The plethora of dried blood and fur, swords, mating calls and battle cries that drenched my imagination when I heard this rumor was lovely. Zombie could do both the classic barbaric character and John Milius’s wild original film supreme justice....
