Hilary Swank stars as the legendary American pilot who disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world. Richard Gere plays publisher and promoter George Putnam, who Earhart eventually married. The movie also stars Ewan McGregor as Gene Vidal, and Virginia Madsen as Dorothy Binney Putnam.
